Special Features/Comments: R Park, a program of the Jackson Hole Land Trust, provides 40-acres of reclaimed public space designed to encourage all ages to engage with nature and inspire through open space interaction.
Formerly, a commercial gravel pit, acres of land served as gravel storage mounds and fill. It has taken years to remove the hundreds of thousands of tons of gravel and to reclaim approximately 40 acres of desolate land.
Rendezvous Park has ponds, meadows, knolls, and trails for visitors to explore through a variety of passive recreation activities including cycling, walking, swimming, SUP boarding, kayaking, fishing, and picnicking. It is centrally located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and visited by people of all ages and backgrounds for free.
R Park lies within the Snake River riparian corridor. In addition to conserving the property through a conservation easement and reclaiming the gravel pit back to a more natural state, we are committed to operating in a manner that is sensitive and mindful of the habitat and animals within the ecosystem, while providing public access.
