Special Features/Comments: The Conover City Park is located at 361 5th Ave SE within the Conover Station development and next door to the Conover Branch Library. The park is over six acres is size and has over half a mile of asphalt walking trails. The trails wind throughout the park, over bridges and around an engineered stormwater wetland. The wetland was specifically designed to treat urban stormwater runoff from Conoveru2019s Downtown, provide habitat for a variety of wildlife and educate our citizens about the importance of water quality. The park has a picnic shelter with six tables and public restroom. Two nature themed playgrounds provide play opportunities for children of all ages and abilities. A splash pad located next to the shelter provides an exciting play experience and a refreshing break from the summer heat. The splash pad is open from Memorial Day to Labor day, from 11am until 8pm.
