Overall Size: Larger than a football field

Special Features/Comments: Beacon Heights is a lightly trafficked .6 mile trail, with moderate terrain, that offers spectacular views and a heavily shaded path.  

GETTING THERE:

Parking

pDriving Directions: Drive south on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Boone, slightly past mile marker 305. There is not an Appalcart route available.

kParking Instructions: Passing mile marker 305 there will be a paved parking lot with a sign stating "Beacon Heights Parking Area." From here, you will have to cross a small lightly traveled access road to get to the trail head, directly accross from the parking lot.
