Special Features/Comments: The Mount Vernon Trail is an 18-mile paved multi-use trail that stretches from George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate to Theodore Roosevelt Island. It connects with regional trails, including the Potomac Heritage, Custis, Rock Creek, Four Mile Run, and Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trails.
The trail follows the course of the Potomac, passing through parks, yacht clubs, wetlands, neighborhoods, towns and wooded acres.

pDriving Directions: The Mount Vernon Trail parallels the George Washington Memorial Parkway between Theodore Roosevelt Island and Mount Vernon. The trail can be accessed from any of the parks on the parkway between these points, with the exception of Roaches Run.
kParking Instructions: Free parking is available at the following parks: Theodore Roosevelt Island, Dangerfield Island, Gravelly Point, LBJ Memorial Grove, Jones Point Park, Belle Haven Park, Riverside Park, Fort Hunt Park, Mount Vernon Estate.
lBus Route: 11Y most stops are within a short walk/ride to the trail.
To Mount Vernon Estate: Fairfax Connector Bus #101, the Fort Hunt Line
sTrain Line and Stop: Blue Line to Arlington Cemetery Metro Station.
