GENERAL INFO:

Special Features/Comments: Short portion of Anacostia Riverwalk Trail overlooking the river. Two-lane asphalt trail for biking or walking. Parking/lookout right across from Washington Nationals baseball stadium. Streets are lit at night.

GETTING THERE:

lBus Route: 1225 Good Hope Rd. (Potomac Ave/Skyland) M.L. King Ave SE and Good Hope Rd.(A 46) M.L. King Ave SE and U St. SE (90, 93, A42, A48, P2, P6, U2, A46) Good Hope Rd. and M.L King Ave. (92, V5) SE Good Hope Rd and SE 13th St. (B2, U2) -Head west down Good Hope Rd. You will eventually pass under a bridge and continue until you see Anacostia Drive. There will be a bike path across the street which is the Anacostia River Walk Trail. You can go either left or right from here.

sTrain Line and Stop: Green Line - Anacostia: Get off metro and walk towards Parking Lot (not Howard Rd.). Once out of Metro station, take a right and walk along sidewalk until you see an opening in the fence on the other side of the street. Cross the street, walk through the fence opening and continue straight past buildings which are National Park Service regional office and U.S. Park Police Headquarters. Keep walking until you are past both buildings and reach a road which is Anacostia Drive. From here you can take either a left or a right and you are in the park.
