Special Features/Comments: The new trail connects the Anacostia Tributary Trail System in Maryland to the Anacostia Riverwalk in Washington, D.C. It creates a network of over 40 miles of trail. The trail network links Prince George's and Montgomery Counties to the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, National Stadium and eventually to the National Mall.

The last segment opened on October 31, 2016, with trail enthusiasts, US Senator Benjamin Cardin and U.S. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton in attendance to celebrate.

GETTING THERE:

Parking

kParking Instructions: Parking for the Anacostia River Trail can be found at Colmar Manor Community Park. The entrance to the park is located on 37th Avenue just south of Bladensburg Road. Across the river, parking is available at Bladensburg Waterfront Park; enter the park at the intersection of Annapolis Road/State Route 450 and 46th Street.
